Double Blind Peer Review Process

The Journal of Global Informatics and Technology (JUGISTI) employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the articles it publishes. The double-blind review process is designed to provide impartial evaluations of submissions, where neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other’s identities, thus eliminating potential biases.

1. Submission:
Authors submit their manuscripts electronically through the journal’s online submission system, adhering to the guidelines outlined by the journal. The submitted manuscript is assigned a unique identifier to maintain anonymity throughout the review process.

2. Initial Evaluation:
Upon submission, the Editorial Board conducts an initial evaluation to ensure that the manuscript meets the journal’s scope and basic formatting requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors without further review.

3. Assignment to Reviewers:
Following the initial evaluation, the Editor-in-Chief assigns the manuscript to one or more expert reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the field. Reviewers are selected based on their qualifications, experience, and absence of conflicts of interest with the authors.

4. Review Process:
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript independently, critically assessing various aspects including the significance, originality, methodology, clarity, and validity of the findings presented. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement where necessary.

5. Author Revision:
Based on the reviewers’ comments, authors are given an opportunity to revise their manuscript to address any concerns raised by the reviewers. Authors are expected to provide detailed responses to each reviewer’s comments and make appropriate revisions to improve the quality of their work.

6. Second Review (Optional):
In some cases, the revised manuscript may undergo a second round of review to ensure that the authors have adequately addressed the reviewers’ concerns. This step is at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief based on the extent of revisions made by the authors.

7. Final Decision:
Upon completion of the review process, the Editor-in-Chief considers the reviewers’ comments, the quality of the revised manuscript, and other relevant factors to make a final decision regarding acceptance, rejection, or the need for further revisions.

8. Publication:
Manuscripts accepted for publication undergo a final proofreading and formatting process before being published online and in print. Authors are notified of the publication status of their manuscript, and accepted articles are made available to the public through the journal’s website.

Confidentiality and Anonymity:
Throughout the review process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential. Reviewers are instructed not to disclose any information about the manuscript or their review to anyone outside of the review process. Similarly, authors are not informed of the identities of the reviewers evaluating their manuscript. This ensures the integrity and impartiality of the review process.

The double-blind peer review process employed by the Journal of Applied Computing and Digital Information aims to uphold the highest standards of academic rigor and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of applied computing and digital information.
