About the Journal

Tsaqôfah: Jurnal Agama dan Budaya is a peer-reviewed journal, available in print and online. Tsaqôfah  published twice a year since 2001 (June and December), is a multilingual (Indonesian, Arabic, and English) and specializes in Islamic History and Culture. This journal encompasses original research articles, review articles, and short communications, including: Islamic History, Islamic Culture, Islamic Civilization, Islamic Tradition, Islamic Literature, Islamic Philology and Literature, Islamic Archeology, Local Islam and Culture, and Islamic Arts and Architecture.

Tsaqôfah: Jurnal Agama dan Budaya has been accredited by National Journal Accreditation Managed by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic Indonesia with Fourth Grade (Sinta 4) from 2018 to 2023 according to the decree No. 158/E/KPT/2021, dated December 9th 2021.

Papers published in the six-monthly journal (June and Dec):
(1) report evaluation and research findings;
(2) treat conceptual and methodological issues; and/or
(3) consider the implications of the above for action; and/or
(4) an extensive book reviews section and also occasional reports on religional and cultural materials and equipment.
