Abstract

Today, the crisis of learning motivation, including the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith, is hitting the younger generation.  This can be seen from the decline in children's motivation in memorizing the Qur'an and Hadith.  Children hold cellphones more than the Koran, children prefer to play games than recite the Koran.  There are several factors that influence children's motivation in learning the Al-Qur'an Hadith, including the attention of parents at home and the teaching style of teachers at school.  The purpose of this study was to find out how and how much influence parents' attention and teacher's teaching style had on students' learning motivation in Al-Qur'an Hadith subjects at MTs KMI Pematang Cilurah.  This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational analysis techniques, and survey and ex post facto methods.  The sample in this study amounted to 31 students from 102 students.  The sampling method uses a strata system so that each group in the population is represented.  The results of the study based on SPSS 20 calculations showed that there was a positive and significant effect of parental attention and teacher teaching style on students' learning motivation in Al-Qur'an Hadith subjects.  This can be seen from the Fcount of 40,634 with a significance/probability level of less than 0.05, which is 0.000 (0.000 <0.05).  Because the significance value is less than 0.05, then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.  While the magnitude of the effect is 74.4%, while the remaining 25.6% is influenced by other factors.  Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that it can provide input for parents, teachers and educational institutions to continue to motivate students and their children in studying the Al-Qur'an Hadith, so that the younger generation has a strong provision of faith in living life and surviving the hereafter.
