Abstract
This article discusses the meaning of Jannah in the Qur’an using the method descriptive-analysis, the researches examines the meaning of Jannah in etimology and terminology by the worldview of mufassir and Syeikh And’ al-Qadir al-Jailani, using the semantic analysis approach to know the meaning of Jannah from the derivation. The conclusion from this article, Jannah lafadz etimology is paradise, meanwhile termilogy is a paradise creation by God as responding for the kindnees of human beings. This argument agree with the perpective of Syeikh Abd’ al-Qadir al-Jailani he said the paradise is place for human beings in the akhirat. Than Jannah lafadz terminology is suitable, because Jannah is a place for the kindness of human beings in the akhirat, meanwhile creation God a place for the meanness is the hell.
