This research is motivated by a phenomenon of education in modern times. Where the progress of science and technology is growing. Indirectly this can affect the formation of the character of students in everyday life. In SMA Negeri 1 Cikande there are some students who have bad character. Even though Islamic Religious Education teachers have carried out various kinds of good interaction patterns. Therefore, it takes a pattern of teacher-student interaction that can shape the Islamic character of students in improving the character of students. This study aims to determine the interaction pattern of teachers and students in the formation of Islamic character in SMA Negeri 1 Cikande students. The focus of this thesis research is (1) What is the pattern of interaction between teachers and students at SMA Negeri 1 Cikande? (2) What is the Islamic character of students at SMA Negeri 1 Cikande? (3) What is the pattern of interaction between teachers and students in shaping the Islamic character of students in SMA Negeri 1 Cikande? SMA Negeri 1 Cikande?. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Cikande. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are; (1) the pattern of interaction between teachers and students at SMA Negeri 1 Cikande has not been implemented optimally, this is caused by many things, including human resources from teachers and human resources from different students. (2) the Islamic character of SMA Negeri 1 Cikande students still doesn't seem good. The factors that cause include family, education and environmental factors (3) the pattern of interaction between teachers and students in the formation of the Islamic character of students at SMA Negeri 1 Cikande has not been fully realized, this is because there are several programs that support the formation of Islamic characters that have not been implemented. perfectly, both by the teacher and by the students, so that it has an impact on the inhibition of the formation of the Islamic character of students.
