An Analysis of Online Teaching in English Learning: A Case Study

Abstract

This research investigates the online teaching in English learning. It is aimed to analysis how to apply online teaching in teaching learning English, describe the strategies are used in online teaching and investigate the problem solving by the teachers during online teaching. Three English teachers were taken as the informant of the study. This research used case study method. The instruments of this research used questionnaire, interview, and data document. The results of this research showed that online teaching is considered less effective because of many obstacles by the teachers and the students. Online learning does not well. The factors that caused many students do not have supporting tools as a basic reference in the learning process. The teachers solve provides reinforcement and repetition of material taught through Google classroom, provide material by displaying audio visuals from You Tube about the material to be studied, teachers can also create their own You Tube account or other learning tools that interest the students.
