An Analysis of Supporting Arguments on Student’s Critical Writing
Abstract
This research was aimed 1) to know the student's ability in writing supporting the argument on critical writing 2) to find out how the student develops their ability in writing supporting argument on critical writing. The researchers took 20 students from the 8th semester at English Education Department UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The research applied a descriptive qualitative method. The Data collection technique used in this study is by document test and Interview to the student at the English Education Department of UIN SMH Banten. From the analyzed, the writer concluded that the student had applied the critical writing criteria correctly because 20 participants in this research introduced their original idea also had analyzed the original argument from various cited sources and they know how to develop their critical writing skill well.
