Pemanfaatan Perpustakaan Keliling dalam Mengatasi Rendahnya Minat Baca Guna Mewujudkan Generasi Cerdas di Link Kemeranggen Kelurahan Taman Baru

Abstract

The low reading interest of children in the Kemeranggen neighborhood, Taman Baru sub-district, is influenced by limited access to literacy facilities, including the lack of a library or community reading park. This community service activity aims to increase children's interest in reading through the Mobile Library service. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which includes problem identification, planning, implementation, and program evaluation. Activities are carried out through Mobile Library services, reading assistance, read-aloud activities, and brief discussions of the reading content. The results of the community service show increased children's enthusiasm for reading, greater access to quality reading materials, and the beginning of the development of reading habits. The program's success is supported by collaboration among KKM students, the sub-district government, and the Library Service. This program is an effective alternative in fostering a culture of literacy from an early age.
