Peningkatan Keterampilan Kewirausahaan dalam Urban Farming pada Siswa Sekolah Berbasis Pesantren

Abstract
This community service program aimed to improve students’ understanding and entrepreneurial skills through urban farming training at Pesantren Darul Irsyad. The program involved 38 eighth-grade students through socialization, training, demonstrations, and practical mentoring methods. The training materials included an introduction to urban farming, wick system hydroponic techniques, and vertical cultivation as solutions for plant cultivation in limited land areas. The activities consisted of delivering basic theoretical concepts, demonstrating tools and materials, seedling preparation, planting media development, and direct planting practice. The results indicated high participant enthusiasm and an increase in students’ understanding of the application of simple agricultural technologies to support food security and entrepreneurial development. Furthermore, the program broadened the perspectives of both students and teachers regarding the potential of urban farming as a productive, practice-based learning approach with economic value.
