Abstract

Al-Qur’an mensyari’atkan agar para ibu menyu-sukan anaknya. Menyusui ini bukan sekedar perintah keagamaan belaka tapi begitu banyak hikmah yang terkandung di dalamnya. Beratnya tugas menyusui yang harus dilakukan ibu diimbangi dengan perintah untuk bersyukur, hormat dan berbakti kepada orang tuanya yang harus ditunaikan sang anak. Perintah untuk menyusui selama dua tahun sebagai sumber makanan terbaik untuk anak sebagai bentuk nafkah di masa awal kehidupannya, juga berkontribusi untuk membantu perkembangan psikisnya. ASI juga memberikan daya immunitas agar anak terlindungi, memiliki ketahanan dan kekebalan dari berbagai penyakit.
