Hadis Menurut Musthafa Al-Siba’i dan Ahmad Amin (Suatu Kajian Komparatif)

Keyakinan umat Islam terhadap posisi dan oten-sitas Hadis atau sunnah pada masa Nabi SAW tidak terdapat persoalan, karena jika mereka menemukan sesuatu yang meragukan atau yang belum jelas bisa langsung melakukan konfirmasi kepada Nabi SAW. Lain halnya pasca wafatnya beliau sampai sekarang, prob-lematika Hadis sudah sedemikian rupa, yang berujung kepada terbukanya tabir untuk melihat keberadaannya sebagai otoritas keagamaan. Seperti halnya dilakukan oleh Ahmad Amin dalam bukunya Fajr al-Islam, yang melakukan kritik terhadap beberapa hal tentang Hadis. Menurutnya, orisinalitas Hadis pasca wafatnya Nabi SAW patut dipertanyakan. Sementara Musthafa al-Siba’i melakukan counter terhadap pemikiran Ahmad Amin dengan mengemukakan bukti-bukti historis orisinalitas Hadis. Dalam pandangan Musthafa al-Siba’i, kiritk Ahmad Amin terhadap Hadis kurang didasari oleh argu-mentasi yang kuat, bahkan argumentasi yang dibangun lebih bersifat asumtif, generalisasi dan tekstual.
