Abstract

The development of digital media is increasing rapidly, competing with conventional media including print media. Making a bit of real effort that must be done by the media in order to continue to exist and be able to work. The media is experiencing a process of innovation and diffusion of its media, as well as Kabar Banten as a local media trying to maintain its existence. Therefore, this study explores the existence of local media and looks at their ability to develop strategies in their competitive media business. This study used a qualitative approach by conducting interviews, observing and analyzing previous documents and documenting the activities followed. In this research it is known that Banten local media can survive because of their ability to innovate and their ability to adapt to existing developments. The existence of online media does not make them competitors but rather as an aid in the existence of media anywhere and in any form.
